Tiddington Girls success at the inaugural Oxfordshire Girls indoor cricket competition.
We were very pleased to take a squad of nine U13 girls to the inaugural Oxfordshire Girls indoor cricket competition at Charlbury on Saturday, 5th January 2019.
And as the only club to take a full team, we are delighted that we have been invited to represent Oxfordshire at the competition’s regional finals in February!
The girls batted and bowled in pairs and there were some great performances, even though a few of the team hadn’t picked up a bat or ball since August, and I was particularly impressed with some of the fielding on display. But most importantly, all the girls really enjoyed the afternoon and I hope this will be a great springboard for lots more girls cricket at Tiddington in 2019.
Many thanks to the girls who took part and the parents who came along and supported. Thanks also to Laura Crofts, the OCB women and girls development officer, who organised a really enjoyable afternoon of cricket.
