Ladies Soft Ball Festival 2018

Last Sunday 19th August Oxfordshire Cricket hosted their sixth ladies soft ball cricket festival at Tiddington Cricket Club.

We initially thought we would only be running two teams but with support from Aston Rowant and Watlington we were able to run four teams playing on two pitches.

Tiddington Vixens

Watlington

The first round of games saw the Tiddington Foxes vs Watlington and Aston Rowant vs Tiddington Vixens.

As rules, tactics and batting orders were discussed Watlington and Tiddington Vixens were the eventual winners.

The Second rounds were Aston Rowant against Tiddington Foxes and Tiddington Vixens against Watlington.

Watlington and Tiddington Vixens won their games.

The last round of games saw Aston Rowant take on Watlington and Tiddington Foxes vs the Vixens.

Watlington beat Aston and the Vixens beat the Foxes for bragging rights back in the club over a glass of Prosecco or two.

We hope everyone enjoyed themselves and a big thank you to Laura from Oxfordshire Cricket for running the day.

Another big thank you to everyone who came along and played, umpired, helped, cooked, cleaned or did all five!

For anyone who missed this event and would like to come along and try their hand at soft ball another FREE Women’s Soft Ball Cricket Festival has been organised at Watlington CC on Sunday 2nd September 12 – 4pm.

Lots of fun for women of all ages!
